Meditation for Blocked Chakras

When your chakras are open you feel comfortable speaking your mind, you have clarity, your health is good, you are energetic and feel connected to your life force. Your chakras can become imbalanced as you travel through all the things we call life. Check out these meditations for blocked chakras.

MEDITATION CAN BE USED TO HELP OPEN YOUR BLOCKED CHAKRAS.

OPENING THE ROOT CHAKRA

First, you should sit cross-legged on the ground and let your thumbs touch your index finger with your palm facing upwards. Your back should be straight when you sit. Focus on where this chakra is located and chant a “lam” sound. Do this until you feel cleared and at rest. It can also help to imagine a red flower slowly opening.

OPENING THE SACRAL CHAKRA

To open this chakra, sit on your knees. Once again, you should have a straight back when you sit down. Lay your hands on your lap with your palms facing upwards on top of each other. The left hand should be underneath the right. Focus on where this chakra is located and chant a “vam” sound. Do this until you feel like you are at rest.

OPENING THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

Once again, sit on your knees with your back straight. Put your hands together above your belly button. Your fingertips should be touching and they should be facing away from your stomach, your thumbs should be crossed over one another and your fingers should not be bent. Focus on the location of this chakra and chant a “ram” sound until you feel relaxed.

OPENING THE HEART CHAKRA

For this meditation, you will start out almost the same way as you did for the root chakra. You once again sit cross-legged, and you connect your thumb and index finger again. Your left hand rests on your left knee and the palm should be facing upwards. Your right hand should be touching the center of your chest with the palm facing your left shoulder. Focus on where the chakra is located and chant a “yam” sound until you feel relaxed.

OPENING THE THROAT CHAKRA

Sit on your knees and cross your fingers on the inside of your hands so your palms are almost facing each other and your knuckles are almost touching. The tips of your thumbs should be touching and pointed upwards. Focus on where the chakra is located and chant a “ham” sound until you feel relaxed.

OPENING THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA

Once again, sit with your legs cross-legged. The hands for this one can be a little tricky, so if you can’t quite grasp what you should be doing, do a quick search on google and find an image of how the hands look! The hands should be at the lower part of your breast and your middle fingers should be touching at the tip and extended away from you. Your thumbs should also be touching at the tips and pointed towards you. The rest of your fingers should be bent and touching each other. Focus on where the chakra is located and chant a “om” sound until you feel at rest.

OPENING THE CROWN CHAKRA

Sit crossed legged and connect your pinkies at the tips pointing up and towards the sky. They should be pointed away from your body. Cross the rest of your fingers. Focus on where the chakra is located and chant a “ng” noise. Do this until you feel calm.

The last two chants may seem very confusing, so if you need any help figuring out how to do them, try looking up tutorials and follow what the instructor is doing. You’ll eventually get the hang of it!
